The next time you want to raise money, you will be able to do it on Facebook.
On Thursday, the social network launched a new personal fundraising feature at Go Fund Me. Facebook users will be able to make donation pages to raise funds for things like tuition, medical procedures and other emergencies.
The function was previously only available to registered nonprofits, but now Facebook makes it accessible to anyone over 18 in the US.
Each fundraising activity will be reviewed by Facebook employees before it has approved, and people are able to send money directly to Facebook using the service payments will be. Facebook already takes a 5% processing fee for verification and donations to charity.
